WHICH OIL DO I NEED?
How to layer your oils with Exosomes & GHK-Cu
I’m often asked if a facial oil is truly necessary if you’re already using a high-quality moisturizer like our Skin Awakening Moisturizer.
The answer lies in the biology of aging. While a great moisturizer provides essential hydration and nutrients, our skin’s natural lipid (sebum) production drops significantly as we reach our 50s and 60s.
Adding a targeted facial oil acts as the "final seal"—it locks in the hydration from your moisturizer and ensures those advanced cellular signals from your serums stay exactly where they belong.
Vitali offers two specific oils that provide this essential lipid support, but they serve very different biological purposes.
Hydration Boost Facial Oil & Primer
PURE HYDRATION
100% Organic Squalane Oil (derived from olives).
Mimics your skin's natural sebum, which we lose as we age. It’s a "biological carrier" that helps your actives penetrate deeper.
Deep hydration, makeup prep, and "sealing in" your serums
2% Bakuchiol Facial oil
GENTLE RENEWAL
Bakuchiol (a natural, plant-based retinol alternative) in a base of Squalane & Vitamin E.
Mimics the effects of Retinol - speeding up cellular turnover and smoothing fine lines - without the irritation or sun sensitivity.
"Remodeling" without the harshness or restrictions of retinol.
The Evening Protocol Update
As we’ve introduced even more advanced cellular technology like our Vita Exosomes, I’ve updated our protocol to ensure you are getting the maximum "signal" from your actives.
While I previously recommended Bakuchiol Oil earlier in the routine, our current advice is to apply high-performance products like Exosomes and GHK-Cu first so they can interact with your skin before layering your oil.
- Cleanse: Clear the pathway with Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser. (5% Lactic)
- Signal: Apply Vita Zero Age Exosomes always first! These are the smallest molecules and need direct skin contact.
- Build: Apply GHK-Cu Skin Cell Restorative Serum immediately after.
- Hydrate: Apply Skin Awakening Moisturizer to replenish moisture levels.
-
Seal: Finish with 2% Bakuchiol Oil (for remodeling) OR Hydration Boost Facial Oil (for pure hydration).

Pro-Tip: You don't need to apply both oils together—it’s best to use one at a time based on your skin's needs. On nights when your skin feels extra thirsty, reach for the Hydration Boost. On the 3 to 4 nights a week when you want that extra "age-defying" boost, use the Bakuchiol Oil. And because Bakuchiol is not photosensitizing, you can safely use it in the morning too!
I personally love using Hydration Boost in the morning to prep for makeup, and rotating Bakuchiol into my evening routine for overnight repair.
By moving your oil to the final step, it acts as a "biological seal," locking in your exosomes and peptides while providing the specific support your skin needs.
